Merak is the last village. It is indeed very peaceful.Stay at Shartobo Home Stay was amazing.Very warm and welcoming people who served delicious food.The guest house is approx 1km away from the lake. We had already enjoyed our view of the lake while reaching Merak so this 1km distance hardly mattered.The only drawback I found was that there was no direction board for the guest house hence it took a lot of time for us to find it.Hope the owner will take care of this.Overall - great experience.

Merak is one of the finest smallest village in the Bank of Pangong TSO lake. This village has barely 20 houses but most of them provide homestay options. People if Merak are humble and very hospitable. Hot Home made food served here is mind-blowing. The views of the lake on one side and mountain on other side is just breadth taking.If you want to enjoy the beauty of the Pangong TSO lake without any crowd then you must consider staying at Merak.
